Introduction

The Luxor Hotel is located on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. It's a massive pyramid that towers over its surroundings, with a light show that takes place every hour. The hotel has more than 4,400 rooms and suites, making it one of the largest hotels in Las Vegas.
The Luxor offers guests all kinds of amenities: restaurants; bars; nightclubs; shops; fitness center; pool area with waterslide (open during summer months); spa services and more!

Accommodations

The Luxor Hotel and Casino has a wide range of rooms available, including standard rooms, suites and villas. All accommodations feature the following amenities:

  • Air conditioning
  • Cable TV with HBO channels
  • Complimentary wireless Internet access (for a fee)

Entertainment

The Luxor Hotel has a variety of entertainment options. The casino is open 24 hours a day, and features dozens of slot machines, table games and poker tournaments. There are also several bars on the property where you can enjoy drinks with friends or watch sporting events on one of their many televisions.
In addition to gambling in the casino, there are several shows and events happening at The Luxor each day:

  • Blue Man Group - This wildly popular show features three men wearing blue makeup who perform comedy sketches while playing music with drums and instruments made out of unusual objects like paint cans or rubber gloves; it's been running since 1991!
  • Criss Angel Mindfreak - Magician Criss Angel performs incredible feats during this live show that includes illusions such as levitation and mind control over animals (he once hypnotized an elephant). If you're not into magic but still want something entertaining, try Cirque du Soleil Mystere at Treasure Island or O by Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio Hotel & Casino instead--both are great choices!

Dining

The Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas is home to several dining options. If you're looking for a quick bite, there are several restaurants on site that offer a variety of cuisines, including Italian, Mexican and American. For those who prefer something more upscale, there are also several bars and lounges where you can enjoy an evening drink with friends or colleagues.
For those staying at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas who would like room service during their stay, there are options available 24 hours a day from Monday through Friday and until 1:00 p.m. on weekends (excluding holidays).

Attractions

  • Mandalay Bay Beach
If you want to experience the beach without leaving Las Vegas, head over to Mandalay Bay Beach. It's a great place to relax and enjoy some time in the sun. The water is warm and there are plenty of lounge chairs available for you to use. If you're looking for something more exciting than just laying out on a towel or playing in the sand, check out their wave pool! You can even rent some boards if surfing is your thing!
  • Shark Reef Aquarium
If seeing sharks up close sounds like something that would interest you then this aquarium might be worth checking out when visiting Las Vegas. They have over 2 million gallons of water filled with all kinds of exotic fish including sharks which means visitors get an up close look at these creatures without having them swim right up next too them (although some people do request this). There are also exhibits showing how these animals live naturally so visitors can learn more about them before seeing them in person at one of these attractions listed below:

Shopping

The Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas has a wide variety of shops and boutiques, as well as markets.

  • Shops:
  • The Market Place (Shop) - This shop is located on the second floor and features items like jewelry, clothing and accessories.
  • Egyptian Artifacts (Shop) - This store sells authentic Egyptian artifacts that have been imported directly from Egypt. You'll find everything from jewelry to statues here!
  • Boutiques:
  • The House of Blues Shop at Mandalay Bay (Boutique) - Located inside Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, this boutique offers a wide selection of music memorabilia including posters signed by musicians who performed there over the years like Elvis Costello & The Attractions along with T-shirts featuring logos from past shows such as AC/DC's "Back In Black Tour" which took place at The Joint At Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas back in 2011 when Angus Young wore his signature schoolboy outfit while performing onstage during their encore song "Highway To Hell".

Activities

The Luxor Hotel & Casino is home to a variety of activities that guests can enjoy. The golf course, located on the property, features two 18-hole courses: The Pharaoh and Valley of Kings. The spa offers massages and other treatments for relaxation after a day at the pool or on the course. The pool area includes two pools with water slides, as well as cabanas available for rent by the hour.

Transportation

The Luxor is a large hotel, so it's not surprising that there are many ways to get around. If you're looking for a quick way to get to the Strip or Downtown, consider taking advantage of the shuttle service provided by Luxor Transportation. This service runs 24 hours a day and costs $5 per person each way.
If you don't want to wait around for a shuttle or if your destination isn't near one of their stops, taxis are another option--but they can be expensive! A taxi ride from Luxor Hotel & Casino will cost anywhere between $20-$30 depending on where you're going and what time of day it is (the later in night, the more expensive).
If money isn't an issue for you but convenience is then renting a car may be right up your alley! Renting cars at McCarran International Airport can be quite expensive but luckily there are several other options available within walking distance from The Strip: Hertz Rental Car Center located at 3700 South Las Vegas Blvd; National Car Rental Center located at 3790 South Las Vegas Blvd.; Dollar Thrifty Car Rental Center located at 3770 South Las Vegas Blvd.; Thrifty Car Rental Center located at 3850 South Las Vegas Blvd.; Avis Rent A Car Center located at 3900 South Las Vegas Blvd..

Nearby Attractions

The Luxor Hotel is located on the southern end of the Strip, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Las Vegas. It's also close to several attractions that are worth visiting when you're not at work or relaxing in your room:

  • The Strip - If you want to see what all the fuss is about, head over here! There are plenty of casinos and shops along this stretch. You can even catch a show at one of many theaters here (we recommend Cirque du Soleil).
  • Fremont Street - This section has been around since before Las Vegas became famous for its casinos, so there are some interesting historical landmarks like The Golden Nugget Casino where people used to gamble with gold nuggets instead of chips! It's also home to some great restaurants and bars if you want something more casual than what you'd find inside one of those big hotels on The Strip.
  • Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area - Located just outside town off Highway 159/US 93/95 Southbound exit onto Charleston Boulevard then left onto Valley View Boulevard until reaching Valley View Lane which leads directly into Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area entrance fee ($7 per vehicle)

Conclusion

The Luxor Hotel is one of the most unique hotels in Las Vegas. It has a pyramid shape and was built to resemble ancient Egypt. The hotel has many interesting facts about it, such as that it's the second largest hotel in Las Vegas and also the tallest building on The Strip (the main road where all casinos are located).
The Luxor Hotel also features an impressive outside light show called "Criss Angel: Believe." This show lasts for 20 minutes every night at 9:00 pm EST/8:00 pm CST/6:00 pm PST until 11:30 pm EST/10:30 pm CST/8:30 pm PST. This show features fireworks, music from Cirque du Soleil performers and even an appearance by Criss Angel himself!
If you're ever visiting Las Vegas I would highly recommend staying at this hotel because it's so unique compared to other hotels nearby like Bellagio or MGM Grand Hotel & Casino which both look similar but aren't as tall or large as The Luxor Hotel
